("Betach") is the owner and operator of this website ("Website") and markets, provides and licenses products and services (which may include online services) via the Website.  Betach is committed to maintaining the privacy of individuals and protecting personal information in Betach's custody or control in accordance with privacy legislation applicable to Betach.

This Website, IP Addresses and Cookies

While you should be aware that most web servers do collect some information about visitors, such as the browser and version you are using, your operating system, and your “IP” or Internet address, which may identify your Internet Service Provider or computer but not the person using it, simply visiting our Website does not result in our collecting any personal information from you.  

However, we do use cookies.  A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information related to the user's visit to online store.

Betach only uses cookies to facilitate the operation of the Website; they are not and will not be used for any other purpose.   Usage of a cookie on the Betach Website or any portion of the Website is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information, and no data related to those will be made available to any third party now or in the future except as required by applicable law.

We may use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Registration/User Profiles

In order to use this Website, including the Betach store, a user must be granted a username and password to allow them to access various content customized for their use. This username and password are part of a profile which includes the name of the company on behalf of whom they are accessing the Betach store, name, and contact information, including phone number and email address. Certain customers will opt for the collection of additional information (such as corporate address) to facilitate invoicing.

Orders

We request information from the user on our order form. Information requested will be information reasonably required to receive and process orders, and may include specific information to indicate where the subscription was purchased, organizational or financial information as required to meet customer reporting requirements, and payment information to indicate how the user will be billed for their purchases. This information is used for billing purposes, reporting, and to fill customer's orders.

Please note that our Website may contain links to other websites which are provided as a convenience for visitors to our Website only. Any third party websites will have their own privacy policies and practices, and we cannot be responsible for such third parties or their websites.  This Statement does not apply to third parties or their websites.

Outsourcing and Data Hosting Outside of Canada

We may use third party service providers to host the Website or products or services we provide, and to process or deal with data and information on our behalf.  In order to protect the confidentiality and security of personal information processed on our behalf by our service providers, we will use contractual and similar measures with such service providers, including contractual non-disclosure provisions.   

We use outside companies to ship orders, and a credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes. These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

Security

All access to our Website is, by default, encrypted and protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. On our site the lock icon near the address bar of Web browsers such as Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just 'surfing'.
